Under Construction.
I'll try and explain as much as I can about my Chevelle as possible. I
bought the car from a friends brother. It's a 1970 Chevelle Malibu Originally
painted dark green with dark green interior. The car originally came with a
350ci motor. My friends brother had bought the car from a guy who had a son that
was taking body shop classes and did what you see in the top two pictures.
Needless to say the son who did the body work should not have gone into auto
body. I found that the rear quarters have had a second quarter laid in over the
old panels and was riveted into place and then he laid bondo down over the rivets.
I have had the car for a little over two years,
the car sat in a body shop for most of those two years. The person supposedly
going to do the body work in two years ended up not doing really anything to the
car. I got tired of it sitting at his shop and nothing being done so I got the
car back recently. Unfortunately I didn't get the money that I had put down on
getting the paint job back, still working on getting the money back. I'm going to attempt to do the body work myself. Wish me
luck.
Well welcome to project Chevelle on TheGerm.Com I will definitely
be posting pictures of the progress I'll be making on the car.
Coming soon I will be hopefully getting the car ready to pull the body off
the frame. A friend of mine has offered to sand blast the frame and paint it for
me. Woo Hoo.
6/29/2006 Well the Chevelle has been on the back burner for some time. I
don't have the money and the space at this time to get cracking on it. I'm
hoping soon that we will be building a barn to put it in so I can get some work
done on it.
8/11/2003 As of right now the Chevelle is currently at a stand still, I
have to come up with some cash to get some parts.
5/30/2003 I'll be going to a swap meet this weekend to try and find quarter panels
for my Chevelle. 5/30/2003 Well I started pulling the front end off of
the car this week much to my dismay I found that the fenders are not in as good
of shape as I thought. I'm going to be buying a parts Chevelle this weekend
also. I'll fill in the details later. Here is some pics of the recent
work that has been done to the car.
