Welcome to our 2007 Camping Page.

We like to go camping. One of our favorite things to do is to go camping in our fifth wheel camper. Most if not all of our vacations revolve around camping. So if you want to read about some of our camping stories and see pictures of where we have been your in the right place. Coming Soon... Pictures.

Trips:

We had a few more trips after Santa Claus. We went to East Harbor as usual for Halloween weekend. East Harbor is a great park to camp at or just plain visit. We also went to Monroe KOA for their Halloween Weekend. We had fun there as well except for the emergency room visit. I guess it was our turn or at least that's what our friends said.

Aug. 31st.- Sept 3rd. We went to Barton Lake for Labor Day with friends and Family. My Mom actually made it out for this trip. We had a good time even though it was hot. Took the dogs swimming in Barton Lake.

Aug. 11th-19th, 2007 We took off and went Santa Claus, IN. We spent a week in the heat, it was almost 100 or above most of the days we were there but we still had a lot of fun. The campgrounds were very well run, clean and they had a pool to cool off in. We played a lot of golf cart hide n seek at night at the campgrounds. We also spent 2 days at Holiday World Amusement Park. If you have never been there you should go. They have a lot of rides for big and for small. They have a big water park which due to the heat we spent a lot of time at. All of the pop, soda, juice, and gatorade was free at the park. We had a really good week at the campgrounds and at Holiday world.

July 27th-29th, 2007 We went to Pokagon State Park in Indiana. We had a good time. We went to a Magic Show and Convention in Colon, MI. We had a lot of jokes after going to Colon, MI. We got rained on while packing up.

July 13th-14th, 2007 We went to Barton Lake in Indiana. Nice Park, Clean, water park was fun but the water was cold. We had a good time we went with a few fellow firefighters and their families. We have been to this park a few times and enjoy it.

July 4th- 8th, 2007 We went to Silver Lake. We camped at the Jellystone campgrounds in Mears (aka Silver Lake). We had a good time with our friends. I must say though that the campground was a little strick on their policies. You were not suppose to be out of your camper after 1:00 AM, no radio, TV or noise after 11:00 PM. We couldn't even get the car into our campsite if we tried to get in after 11:00 PM. Aside from the night rules the campground had a nice pool and clean facilities.  We had a bad trip with our camper, we lost all of our 12v power, the battery went dead and the power converter went bad. So we rigged the camper up until I can get it fixed under warranty. Until next time.

June 15th-17th, 2007 we camped at the Annual Fireman's Convention. This year it was in Rossford. We had a good time but the camping was a little rough with it being hot and we didn't have the power to run the air. We were close to home so it made it easier.

We went Memorial Day Weekend to East Harbor State Park. We had fun as usual. It rained a lot over the weekend but we found plenty to do. The camper was taken in for some service work at the RV Dealer when we got home hopefully it will be back in time for Fire Convention.

3/9/2007-3/18/2007 Our trip to Florida was fun. Next Time I think we are going to fly though. All of the driving I did wore me out. Disney World was very fun. We had really nice weather, high 80's every day. The KOA in Kissamee that we stayed at was very clean, had a nice pool that we went in a few times. We got to finally see Monica play softball while we were down there. I think we made it to 5 or 6 of her games. Monica did really good.

We did our usual Maumee Bay and East Harbor trips this year. Sorry I wasn't up to date on the site. It always gets hectic in the Summer.

Holiday World was a blast. We had a great time and hope to go again next year.

8/11/2006 We're off to Santa Claus, In. to go to Santa Claus world amusement park.

8/4/2006 We went to Ludington, MI. Awesome place to go. We had a good time up there. I wish we could have stayed longer. I think we are going to stay at the State park next time or stay around Silver lake. If you have never been in this area it is a must to go to.

7/6/2006 We haven't camped in a few weeks and I'm going through withdraw. We'll be heading out this weekend though. We're going to a Jellystone in Indiana for the weekend. Then I think we will be off for a few more weekends until we go again.

6/29/2006 We are taking a camping break until the July 8th weekend. I need to catch up on some yard work and work around the house a little. We're heading to a JellyStone park in Indiana on Barton lake next. We're just going for the weekend but it should be fun.

6/9/2006 I added a few more states to our map above. These are from our week and a half long trip that we went on. As for the trip Nashville was pretty cool. We stayed at the Nashville KOA which was very clean and very friendly. The sites were a little small but we had a good time.  At Mammoth Cave we stayed at Jellystone in Cave City. This park was nice but it could have been a little nicer. The campsites were really big but were not very even. The staff was extremely nice, they let us watch the last two American Idol shows in there store and they stayed open late to let a group of us watch it. The park was also pretty clean. I think I get a few pictures I'll have to post.

5/15/2006 We didn't get out camping last weekend due the weather. But we are leaving to go to Nashville, Mammoth Cave and East Harbor for a week and a half. It should be loads of fun and I'll try to take lots of pictures.

5/12/2006 We're finally going camping this weekend. We're just heading out to Maumee Bay for the weekend to do a shake down trip in the new camper. Hopefully we don't have any problems.

We are off to Tennessee in May. We will be staying at a Jellystone campground in Nashville for a long weekend. We will then on the way back stop in Kentucky and stay at Mammouth Cave for a day or two and then on to East Harbor for the rest of the week for Memorial Day weekend.
